Fund Raising

We're keen to improve the village hall facilities and have a couple of projects we'd like to look for funding for during 2023.  

We believe our building could be a catalyst for positive change so we'll be working with the community to help us show that every little bit of funding we can get will make us get noticed and used more; we hope everyone will support our work in and for our lovely Flookburgh community. 

Our 2023 projects are: 

1.  Committee Room: bringing new life to the room, creating a bright, light and inspiring space in our for smaller groups to hire. Add lockable built in storage spaces for regular user groups, smarten it up with fresh paint and a clean new floor surface that makes the room welcoming. We want it to be a space that inspires individuals and groups to support each other, to live fun and happy lives in our brilliant community. 

2.  Main Hall Floor: revitalise it for future generations - let's put a spring back in everyone's step. We need an assessment of the current condition of the floor and how that might be for the future users of the hall. Once professionally assessed we can make decisions about the best way forward. It might just need a lick of varnish and it'll be as good as new, or it might just need replacing - we'll share the progress on this as we go along.

For both these projects the Committee are keen to hear from anyone who has used the hall in the past, or uses it now, or would like to use it in future - what works well, what doesn't work well, what would you like to see in the future?
